I have been designing gardens in this area for several years and strongly believe the success as a garden designer is based on listening closely to the wishes of my clients and then interpreting those wishes into the garden of their dreams. All styles of gardens and budget are catered for and many clients are happy to offer a recommendation.
The initial consultation is for up to one hour and is free of charge. It is an opportunity to have a chat about your needs and to get a feel for your garden. If you wish to spend more time then a small fee is charges. Further to this a quotation would be supplied based on our discussion.
Should you decide to proceed, a site survey would be carried out from which a prepared set of detailed, scaled drawings would be provided. A client brief is drawn up and agreed.
Planting plans can be produced in one of two ways:
Either to complete your project or to fit into an existing garden layout. Either way a good planting plan is key to a beautiful garden. We discuss planting style and colour schemes and seasonal interest in detail. This information will be used to produce a suitable planting scheme in the g=form of scaled drawings and/or a plant list.
The detailed, scaled design is passed to the contractor who will quote for the work. The contract will be between yourselves and the contractor, although careful liasing with the contractor during construction will be taken into consideration to ensure plans are being interpreted correctly. Once the garden is built the plants are positioned ready for the landscaper to plant.
This is an additional service that is available and would come as an additional cost.
